The Social Effects of IT

Before the Industrial Revolution communication was by word or mouth or paper. But, after the Industrial Revolution life became more complicated because of technology. In Indonesia, we also use technology. Technology make us easier to life, but Technology also cause we become lazier to do something. That’s why, there is two kind of the effect of the Technology. The Advantages and The Disadvantages.

Advantages :
 Life become simpler
 We can do more job with fewer time
 There are many things that would possible without technology
 The creation of new and interesting job
 The opportunity to work for yourself

Disadvantages :
 Increased Unemployment
 Elimination of some office job
 Life without technology is slower
 The storage of personal data held on computer has eroded people’s privacy
 People become lazier to do something
 The increase of the number of crime

One of the disadvantages of the technology is PIRACY, and how amazing to know that Indonesia reach the third position of piracy. That’s mean, piracy in Indonesia is bigger than piracy in other country. Why Indonesia has the bigger number of Piracy than
other country? What make piracy is doing by people? What is the effect of the Piracy?

Disadvantages of Piracy :
† The price of the original software is become more expensive, because many peoples choose to use the copy of that software
† Many viruses can attack the computer because of the formula doesn’t open naturally but only copied
† The producer of the original software become loss

Advantages of Piracy :
 The price of the copied software is cheaper then original software
 We buy one software and our friend can copy it, and then our software in our friend computer can copy by another person. But in one computer, it just can copy one time
 Easier to get it
